HEAD SHOTS

by: KNUCKLEHEAD

Fri Feb 05, 2010 at 18:41:49 PM EST

It`s been raining here since 5:00 AM.
I love it.
We are not up to our daily requirement allotment of water so it`s great.
It`s also cool since I can stay home & not visit my projects for a few days.
I do need the rest since I have a horrible cough.
I failed to use a dust mask for a few minutes last week while showing some of my workers how I wanted something done.
And before anyone blasts off on me, yes they had masks.
Anyway here are some "Head Shots" like my Head Cold.

When the strawberries are in season, I`ll shoot miles of them.

Great... (3.00 / 1)
One of the things I miss about California is the miles of strawberry fields... oh and the acres of flowers in Lompoc..

great stuff here (3.00 / 4)
as always. Thanks, Knuck.

Beautiful! (3.00 / 2)
Just beautiful!  I especially love sunsets.....and sunrises.

Thanks so much for sharing!

Pa Mom (3.00 / 1)
I do think I should start a series of sunrises.
Of the dozens of hundreds of sunsets I`ve shot, I think I only shot one sunrise.
I`m glad you enjoyed these.

I love looking at the rolling fields and seascapes of my previous (3.00 / 1)
home state.  It is amazing to me how so few understand the diversity of California.  California is a farm state.  Believe it or not....

I think the people responsible in the oil spill--BP and the federal government--should take full responsibility for what's happening there. - John (Boner) Boehner

Water!! (3.00 / 1)
The only thing lacking it water to sustain the farming... say, why don't we pool our pennies and start a desalinization plant?  With the global climate change (which appears to mean the melting of the polar caps) the oceans are rising... let's do our civic duty and help to lower them....

I`m building a dock right off my deck so I can go fishing.
I`m presently about three hundred feet up from the ocean on a bluff so I`m ready to lower our civic duty, (all our politicians have).

What do you (0.00 / 0)
think of the desalinization plant idea??  Maybe we should look around upper California/southern Oregon .. find some waterfront property...

Masslass (3.00 / 1)
My place Will be waterfront property, hence the dock.
And I think I`ll stay here. But ya`ll are all welcome.

Head, (0.00 / 0)
there is a very high probability that it will be waterfront.. let's just hope it stops before getting to your house.  With luck that won't happen until we're all dead and gone.

And thanks for the invite.. may just take you up on that.  Feel the need to do some traveling and I've always loved California.. some parts more than others.  The PCH is always a fun ride and very scenic, as you well know.

But the question is, if it's a 30' drop to the ocean, how do you get to the water?  Or do you use a very long fishing line..

I mentioned 300 feet down to the water level.
By the time the polar ice melts, I should be able to fish off my imaginary dock.

oops... (0.00 / 0)
It would seem that I was missing my tongue in my cheek yesterday... also couldn't tell the difference between 30 feet and 300 feet.  But fear not, found my tongue and it's planted it firmly in cheek.. all's well with the world again..

brobin, (3.00 / 2)
I bet they`d soon understand it if you shut down the San Joaquin Valley, (the nations salad bowl), the Oxnard flood plain, & the Imperial Valley.
http://ceres.ca.gov/geo_area/b...
The amount of food grown is unbelievable.
It also has so many world renowned geographical regions, it could easily compete as a country unto itself, & has the 8th largest economy in the whole world.
An amazing place California, & I live in only a little 23 mile long section, by about a mile wide.
