And now for the "Random" section, these images are all of the same fish,
a "Six Line Wrasse", but in random  background settings.
This wrasse rarely stops moving so one must pre-focus & wait.
When it swims through the focus range, "Click".

A very sad Engineer Goby.
DSCN9224

I put this series of shots together to show how many different corals are in the life of a single little fish.
The wrasse is less than two inches long.
All the shots were taken in less space than an old Cathode-Ray TV, so now, image the Gulf of Mexico, & what`s at stake.

Head`s Shots (2.00 / 3)
Have a great week end.
Cross your fingers the gulf can be saved.

Simply amazing what you (2.00 / 2)
can do with a camera and some patience!  Great job, head.. simply stunning.. and what a marvelous idea to follow one fish through all of those wonderful settings.

But the Gulf.. sigh, I have a really bad feeling about this.. I really am afraid it's going to be a total dead zone for many years to come... and still we're addicted to oil.  Go figure.  For many years now I've been doing my part.. only go out when there are several errands to run so I can trip-chain.. don't use unnecessary power, follow the old Yankee example of: Use it up, wear it out, make it do or do without.  But I've decided it might be time to start dope-slapping people.  Just what will it take to wake them up?

sorry to put such a downer in this beautiful presentation

Don`t worry about any downer, I can`t go any lower.
I can`t even stand to see those brown gooed birds.
It makes me sick.
Thank god I can`t see the devastation below the surface.
It might almost kill me, spirit wise

Awesome pictorial, kh (2.00 / 2)
It was a fun trip down Wrasse Lane!

Brobin, (2.00 / 2)
Thank you.
I usually start out on a mission & then pursue it, once I`ve mastered the hunt.
Shooting this fish is akin to shooting a butterfly that does not stop flitting & fluttering.
It also takes a while to have the particular fish get accustomed to a black monster looking at it.
Most of my fish are well acclimated to me, but can always distinguish from another person approaching the tanks.
My big black "Comet" will come & interact with me, but If Coconut is on my arm, it will rush out in full attack mode.
I don`t know if it`s trying to protect me from the bird, or if it is attacking the bird.
Another one of my fish, I can call out & pretend to scratch it like a dog, while it gets as close to the glass side as possible, but will never do that if a stranger, (not me) is anywhere near.

Shake your (2.00 / 1)
wrasse, wrasse, wrasse.
Hoping for the best, KNUCK.

Nocatz, (2.00 / 2)
Thanks for the support.
I have thousands of fish shots, fresh & saltwater, but I`ll never post one of any of my catfish.
