So we should just put everything on The Front Page BNN

by: nocatz

Why not just say, "Let's put everything on the front page."?

Ramblin' Jack at Tipitina's in NOLA (soon after Katrina) with a little story about Cutty Sark and Bob Dylan.

When I was 9 or 10 and first tried to mess with a guitar (my Aunt's....the elitist folkie) this was a song I tried to learn.  Never went any further as I showed no particular aptitude at the time.  I remember thinking that his name was pronounced Dye lan and that there was someone else who's name was Dillon.

In other news...........
BBC headline criticism of the day. Why are there scare quotes?

North Korea troops 'fire into South Korea'

Is there some unusual meaning?  NO!

North Korea fired two rounds towards a frontline unit and South Korean soldiers returned fire three times.

Word of the day: invest

was looking at a GOS diary (fishoutofwater) on the new tropical depression now named Tomas.  It was called 91L (OMG!!!) Invest at first I guess, but I had never seen that term used, so as a service to others....

An unnamed tropical weather pattern "to investigate" for development into a significant (named) system.91e, is a cyclic number (90-99) and a letter suffix for oceanic region:.

Remember this guy?  Conrad Black?  (I always confuse him with Cofer Black, and with Charlie Wilson)

A Chicago appeals court upheld one fraud conviction and one for obstruction of justice, but reversed two fraud counts.

Speaking of fraud.
Continuing the voter fraud faux news emails...

I'm pretty sure that the car that pulled in next to me at the polling place had NPR on the radio.  Is this legal?

Dear Faux Snooze... (2.00 / 2)
I woke up from my nap in the parking lot of my polling place here in Alabama, and there were people standing in line to vote.  I've voted R ever since that turncoat Lyndon Johnson tried to pretend that the darkies were real people too.  A good Southern boy gone bad, that one.  My scooter was low on electricity, so I couldn't make it from the car to vote if I had to stand in that line.  I think the Democrat Party put those people in line just to keep me from voting.  Can I sue them?

WIN! (2.00 / 2)
One thing I'm wondering is whether to misspell, or how much to.  I was looking at the comments at the focks site and they're not that bad (spelling wise) .

I am 79 years old but with all parts working including my BRAIN! A couple of months ago SOMEONE sent me an application for an absentee ballot request. I filled it out fully, but never received anything back. As the time went on I began to get real nervouse, and called my county agent

this one is kinda funny/sad....Troll or Not?

I have seen at least three occasions where patients have told me that they have been visited and helped to vote absentee in critically close elections. Many of the voters were Altzheimer patients or even in comas.

FSMdamned! They have me now.. (2.00 / 2)
On three occasions I've visited patients and helped them to vote.  Maybe four, not sure.  Could be 118.  Whatever.

The coma patients were so sweet!  They just layed there and pulled the handle for Gerald Ford.  How that peanut farmer with combine blades for teeth evah won that election is beyond me!  And his wife!  Such a pretty lady of the South.  Sure, he had millions to woo her with but she could have held out for better!

GWB needed a cougar, right?

side note on fashion.....there's an ad there from shopbop, not sure if it shows up for everyone or just for me because I buy women's clothes or if it's in some ad rotation....anyway, the model is draped on a sofa wearing this purple robe/dress thing, spike boots with floppy socks, large hat.....my question for those of you that go out in public and might see/, and/or, know/are women.....WTF?

Purchasing frilly item's for librarians is still Constitutional (2.00 / 2)
You better GET our teh VOTe in Az or We won'T haVe Ladies or Men who tend our books and allow us all to use our minds to explore, laugh, consider, calculate and anything else you might think of when you read.

Jan's Creed isn't going to help the kids grow into cactus huggers.  You can explain that faux pas in your manifesto to AZ.

OH, btw.  Purchase the frilly item's for the librarians.  They appreciate subtle gestures.

Winger co-worker will attack first thing Monday AM (2.00 / 3)
with the fact that Yusef was allowed within the borders of teh country.

As usual, I will ask him why he cares...  He will say Mooslem and I will say so what?  As usual. Once again he will walk away wondering how I could be so stoopid as to not understand the Nazi Communist Black Brown Religious Krazy Un-Merikan fools that threaten our very existence.

Some old dogs can't even consider new trickz.  Even when you keep changing the names of their adversaries.
