RIP Phoebe

I confess (2.00 / 3)
I've been mostly avoiding much of 'the news' lately... but damn, this cannot be ignored.

4 dead as storms pound South for 2nd straight day

There's just way too much to even try to highlight... Mother Nature is beyond pissed..

Oh, and as a side note... Obama, for the 874th time, has released his birth certificate.. like it's going to stop the crazies..

Birf Cert. (2.00 / 2)

Thought that was an Onion headline.  WTF?

more tornados......... (2.00 / 1)

Hey, if you get a chance, would you go to GOS and ask the weather disaster dude ( or a general Does anybody know if) ....if this past week's tornado outbreak (since NC got hit) has been from a series of fronts, or just one front that is just sitting there spinning.

It's like (2.00 / 1)
three different fronts as far as I know...

Ya know there's about 2000 traffic webcams in the Triangle. WTF?

T-L SOTB

[ Parent ]
Aren't those used (2.00 / 2)
for tracking where things have blow to??

That's what I was looking for. (2.00 / 1)

No, when the storms went through I looked for  a webcam, but then I figured that complaining about the number of them seems somehow inappropriate at the time.

Plus, none of the ones I checked had a live tornado on them anyway.

Fire in the hole!!!1 (2.00 / 1)

Yeah it's a problem.  Blow the levee? Or not?

http://online.wsj.com/article/...

Actually, I went looking for this story, but most of it is behind the firewall.

Pakistan is lobbying Afghanistan's president against building a long-term strategic partnership with the U.S., urging him instead to look to Pakistan-and its Chinese ally-for help in striking a peace deal with the Taliban and rebuilding the economy, Afghan officials say.

Pakistani Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani, who bluntly told Afghan President Hamid Karzai that the Americans had failed them both

Hard to figure what they perceive as failure, since it's hard to figure what WE consider a failure.  I mean not us/us, but them/us.

This really is an (2.00 / 1)

I dunno, what was the topic? (2.00 / 1)
in any case, clusterfuck is the correct expression.
