| Shorter Prez: Republicans got us into this mess with their wars and give away's to rich corporations and they suck.
Shorter Boner: Who said I have a shorter boner? Cantor is microscopic and I'm packin'. Oh? What? My bad. Ahem. The President hates America. He's black, also. Too.
President Obama did not deliver news of a deal on the nation's debt ceiling Monday night, instead, reinforcing the potential dangers if it's not raised by next Tuesday, August 2.
"We would risk sparking a deep economic crisis - one caused almost entirely by Washington."
The President addressed the nation and political opponents in primetime and House Speaker John Boehner delivered an immediate rebuttal.
"The sad truth is that the president wanted a blank check six months ago, and he wants a blank check today. That is just not going to happen."
Back-and-forth on capitol hill Monday afternoon showed that the dueling parties, still stood pretty far apart.
In other news of this news, the Prez called for 'Merikanz and Americans to contact their House Congressteabags and tell them to compromise. The gubmint servers crashed after his address. Guess people had something to say?

Jerry Brown is a good man.
Brown signs California Dream Act
Following through on a campaign promise, Gov. Jerry Brown signed a law Monday easing access to privately funded financial aid for undocumented college students. He also signaled that he was likely to back a more controversial measure allowing those students to seek state-funded tuition aid in the future.
Assemblyman Gil Cedillo (D-Los Angeles), author of the private financial aid measure, described it as an important but incremental step toward expanding opportunities for deserving students who were brought to the U.S. illegally through no choice of their own. Cedillo is pressing ahead with a more expansive measure that would make certain undocumented students eligible for the state's Cal Grants and other forms of state tuition aid.
Brown said he was "positively inclined" to back that bill but would not make a decision until it crosses his desk.
"I'm committed to expanding opportunity wherever I can find it, and certainly these kinds of bills promote a goal of a more inclusive California and a more educated California," Brown told reporters after the bill-signing ceremony Monday.
I'm sure the, chuckle, Minutemen are dismayed.
I seriously love the names these gutter dwellers give themselves. So pretentious. So HighLarious!

I'm not a presidential candidate, Chris Christie says -- in Iowa
Chris Christie swung through Iowa on Monday, raising questions about his political ambitions in the state that holds the first voting contest in the nation.
The New Jersey governor has repeatedly said he will not run for president in 2012, and he repeated that on Monday.
"In the end, it's something you've got to believe in your heart is necessary for you to do with your life. As I said before, I don't feel that at the moment," Christie told reporters after speaking at an education summit.
He has faced repeated entreaties from supporters, which he said he found "overwhelming." But he said the decision was a personal one for him and his family. He said recently told a group of New York City fundraisers: "When I'm in that hotel room in Des Moines and it's 15 below and the alarm clock goes off at 4 o'clock in the morning, none of you are going to be there."
Christie said he does not know if he will endorse anyone in the GOP field, and no candidate to date has excited him enough to do it, but that could change in the upcoming months of campaigning. bolding courtesy of Bachmann
Moosealinim if she decides to get in the race might be wise to show up with a couple of strip steaks and large pizza if she wants to get Gov. Broadbeam excited enough to "do it."

Running on her (lack of?) record?
Bachmann skips 40 percent of votes since launching bid
Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-Minn.) has missed nearly 40 percent of votes in the House since she formally launched her presidential campaign.
Bachmann's absentee rate, which is significantly higher than the two other House members running for president, could be used by her GOP opponents on the campaign trail.
Yes, and so could her actual votes if she cast them. Two way street here, wouldn'tja say?
