credit: Oil Change International

Oil Change International has as its mission to expose the true costs of fossil fuels and facilitate the coming transition towards clean energy.

The organization runs three sites:

Price of Oil

Energy Money

Shift the Subsidies

btw, i've relaunched writing in the rAw.

NOTE: it is now dot ORG as I lost the dot COM domain. don't ask.

come and visit why don't youse? nobody else is there, so it's quiet enough. and if it ever draws an audience, you can always leave.

pfiore8 :: okay. it's a bit more edgy than traditional banjo music...

Really interesting music (4.00 / 1)
Guess the story goes that Allison Krause "discovered" these musicians at a small Tennessee college.

Not my normal style, yet unimportant.  Still very good.

one by/about this org. and their artists.

http://www.musicmaker.org/

and a BBC thing on the American Folkies.

from the latter....two great lines:

1.) After some description of Woody Guthrie's personality and the marital trouble that resulted, they have Pete Seegar saying,"Yeah, he wasn't a good husband, but he did teach me how to hop a freight train."

2.) After some clips of Kingston Trio and the mini boom of that genre, Country Joe McDonald says that was, "...a continuation of wretched pop music in a folk music format."
