Please use this essay as a place to gather the snippets & bits of tails we tell.

Not that we shouldn't put them in the other essays.... this is just a gathering of the bits, making them easier to find & enjoy!

wing nut neighbors (2.00 / 5)
My wing nuttiest neighbor apparently listened to too much hate speech on the radio and convinced herself that all that ails her life is the responsibility and result of the Democrats.  Since I represent everything Democrat to her she focused her anger on me, and that's where thing went strange for her.

I resolutely determine for myself just what I'm going to take personally, doesn't matter one bit what the intention was.  I'm also easily amused, especially by the foibles of people.  The low information ones don't hold my attention for very long however and I've been known to be pretty short with them.  My neighbor was dispatched mumbling as I tried to suppress any obvious signs of amusement.  Probably not too successful there do you think badgers?

So, as she set off brooding a plan hatched.  She called the city official responsible for enforcing code violations and reported our 1971 VW camper that mr. w is restoring incrementally.  It is astonishingly hard to find parts for something that old.  She complained that it wasn't "red-tagged" and then lied about having her vehicle tagged.  Problem was it turned out when the inspector visited us is that he thought it was a "really cool old bus and I like what you're doing with it so I decided not to tag anyone so you can finish it in peace".  On his way back to city hall he stopped and tagged her for parking her car in the yard and not on a driveway (another code violation).

Remarkably instant karma wasn't it?
